IIT Tirupati and NIT AP have signed MoU to work together on research, academic activities and student exchange programmes.

NIT AP and IIT Tirupati Partnership

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati and National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh have signed Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen academic cooperation and encourage joint research activities between two institutes. This agreement was signed at IIT Tirupati campus in presence of IIT Tirupati Director Prof. K.N. Satyanarayana, along with deans, advisors, heads of departments and faculty members.

IIT Tirupati, NIT Andhra to Focus on Academic and Research Collaboration

Through this partnership, both institutions aim to improve academic interaction and create more opportunities for collaborative research. This MoU will help faculty members and students from both institutes work together on research projects, exchange knowledge and take part in academic activities. Officials said collaboration is expected to support interdisciplinary research and promote innovation-driven learning among students.

Internship and Research Opportunities for Students

As part of this agreement, BTech students will get opportunities to pursue internships after completing their third year. The institutes said this step will help students gain practical exposure and research experience at an early stage of their academic journey. Students who are interested in pursuing research careers will also get an opportunity to continue their fourth year and later enrol directly into PhD programmes at IIT Tirupati.
