IITKGP invites applications for free workshop on data science

People who wish to apply can apply online before September 7, 2021. The workshop will be held on September 8, 2021. 

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IITKGP) has invited applications from students for a free online workshop on ‘Application of Data Science in Biological Systems’. 

IITKGP and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory have collaborated for the workshop being offered under the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC) programme of the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India. The organisations aim at covering research challenges and breakthrough technologies behind the current trends in the field of biomedical and bioenergy research. 

Academicians, research scholars, undergraduate and postgraduate students, faculty members, professionals and industry personnel can participate in the workshop. As many as 50 persons can attend the workshop, and the selected participants will get a notification on their personal e-mail addresses.  

The objective of the workshop is to cover the recent research efforts across the globe by involving lectures delivered by academicians and researchers from IITKGP, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and the University of Michigan.

• Machine  learning for metabolic engineering. 
• Deep  learning for clinical and health applications. 
• Drug  discovery and repurposing using transparent artificial intelligence. 
• Machine  learning for protein  engineering. 
• Analysis  of multi-omics data with genomescale models.
