Indian Maritime University releases rank wise list of selected candidates

IMU (Indian Maritime University) has provisionally selected 2220 candidates this year through CET 2015 (Common Entrance Test 2015) for undergraduate engineering programmes such as B Tech (Marine Engineering), B Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering), B Sc (Ship Building & Repair), B Sc (Maritime Science), B Sc (Nautical Science), Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B Sc Nautical Science.

IMU’s CET 2015 provisional admission list (rank-wise/ institute-wise/ course-wise list) of selected candidates has been declared on its official website, for admissions into 16 participating institutes across India.

IMU has cancelled the online registrations of five candidates bearing registration numbers CETA1500025, CETA1504300, CETA1508681, CETA1510818 and CETA1518679 due to falsifications of marks by these candidates.

IMU has also released the institute-wise and course-wise allotment list of the selected candidates.

The 16 participating institutes are Indian Maritime University, Chennai Campus, Kolkata Campus, Mumbai Campus, Visakhapatnam Campus, C V Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, College of Ship Technology, Palakkad, Euro Tech Maritime Academy, Cochin, HIMT, Chennai, Coimbatore Marine College, Coimbatore, Hind Institute of Nautical Science and Engineering, Noida (U.P), International Maritime Institute, Greater Noida, Mangalore Marine College, Mangalore, Park Maritime Academy, Coimbatore, R.L Institute of Nautical Sciences, Madurai, Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET), Pune.

There have been some changes in the arrangement of seats in certain institutes for certain courses this year. The Chennai Campus has diverted its 80 seats of B Tech (Marine Engineering) to Kolkata campus and Mumbai Campus with 40 seats each. While Kolkata Campus has diverted its 40 seats of B Sc (Nautical Science) to Chennai Campus.

IMU will conduct the certificate verification process from June 29, 2015 to July 24, 2015. The new session shall positively begin by August 3, 2015.
