JEE Main 2022: Latest updates on exam, registration date, eligibility, number of attempts
NTA will be releasing the JEE Mains 2022 notification on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in with details on exam date, registration schedule, syllabus, exam pattern, eligibility criteria and other information about the exam.
The National Testing Agency has announced the JEE Mains 2022 exam date. The Joint Entrance Examination Main for admission to BTech, BArch and BPlan courses will be conducted in two sessions this year in April and May. The first attempt will be held on 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 April 2022 and the second attempt on 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 May 2022. JEE Main application form has been released for the first session.
NTA has introduced many changes in JEE Mains 2022 like no facility of application form correction will be provided, less number of attempts and change in the marking scheme. The notification and information brochure with details on exam and registration date, syllabus, pattern, eligibility has been released on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains 2022 Form Release Date
NTA has started the registration process for the first session exam. The application forms are available only in online mode on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to fill JEE Main application form 2022 for the first session is March 31. NTA will open a separate registration window for the second session exam on April 8. The process of filling the application form includes online registration, uploading scanned photos, signature and payment of the application fee.
JEE Main 2022 Exam Date
NTA will conduct the exam in two sessions this year in April and May respectively. The first session exam will be held from April 16 to 21 while the second session exam will be held from May 24 to 29.
JEE Main New Marking Scheme
As per the new marking scheme in the exam, questions types of Numerical Value Answers will also have negative marking in addition to MCQ type questions.
JEE Main 2022 Eligibility
Students have long been asking for the continuation of 75 per cent marks waive in class 12 in JEE Main 2022. NTA had waived off the criteria of 75 per cent in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID situation. However, no information has been released about the relaxation of marks for this year.
JEE Main 2022 Number of Attempts
The number of attempts this year has been reduced to two. The exams will be held in April and May only this year, unlike the previous year when the exam was conducted in four sessions in February, March, July and August.
No Correction Facility in JEE Main Application Form
NTA has clearly mentioned that no facility of correction in the filled application form will be provided in JEE Mains 2022. Candidates are thus advised to be very careful while filling the application form. Also, candidates are advised not to fill multiple application forms for one session as more than one form will be rejected.
