The NTA has issued guidelines for candidates who are facing errors while registering for JEE Main 2025 due to a mismatch in their name in the class 10 marksheet/certificate and Aadhaar. As per the new directive, all such candidates are required to fill name as per their class 10 and Aadhar both.

To overcome this issue being faced by the students, NTA has streamlined the process and has made slight modifications in the JEE Main application form 2025 to assist candidates complete their forms. The following steps are to be taken to overcome such an issue.
- If a candidate receives the message “Name Mismatch” while filling in the name as per Aadhar in the application form, candidates need to close the pop-up window.
- In the next window, candidates need to enter their name exactly as per Aadhaar.
- The application process thus records names as per the class 10 marksheet and Aadhar.
Candidates are, however, advised to make the necessary corrections in their Aadhaar by visiting the Aadhaar centres to avoid problems. Candidates facing Aadhar authentication errors must now provide their name as per the class 10 marksheet/certificate and Aadhar both.
