The first shift on the fourth day (September 4) of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 began at 9 am and concluded at 12 noon. The second shift (Afternoon) of the exam will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.
It is the first major nationwide entrance test for engineering being held since the Covid-19 outbreak in the country. The National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting authority, has taken several measures to protect candidates from getting infected while appearing for the exam.

JEE Main 2020 Question Paper (September 4): General Analysis
- For most of the students, questions in the Mathematics section were lengthy in today's question paper. Candidates have to give extra time to solve these questions
- Most of the questions in the Physics section were formula-based
- Chemistry was the easiest section as compared to the other two sections
JEE Main 2020 Question Paper (September 4): Subject-wise Analysis
- More questions from the Inorganic part in Chemistry than the Organic and Physical part
- Some questions were based on the concepts of NTA Abhyas questions
- Maths was lengthy
- Questions from physical chemistry were easy
- Questions from organic chemistry comparatively was more than the last two days of the exam
- Question to find out electron magnetic spin was asked
- 1 question from Metallurgy
- 1 question of Biomolecule
- Questions from Surface Chemistry
- Questions from the Calculus part comparatively was more than the other topics
- More number of questions were asked from Class 12th
- Questions of 3D Vector in Mathematics
JEE Main 2020 Question Paper (September 4): Student Reactions
Jayesh: Paper was easy. Few questions in physics were tougher. The paper was tougher than the last time.
Richa: The difficulty level of today's question paper was moderate to difficult. More questions were asked from class 11 syllabus. Physics was the toughest section.
Shiv Sagar: Physics was easiest among all the three sections. In the Mathematics section, a good number of questions were from Calculus.
Anjali: Mathematics section was lengthy. More questions were asked from class 11 syllabus.
