JEE Main 2026 Registration Reasons Delay: NTA Application Form Expected Soon

The application form of JEE Main 2026 will be released at jeemain.nta.nic.in by the National Testing Agency. The date for JEE Main registration is October 2025. With only two days remaining in October, students are wondering what has caused the long wait. On September 29, the preliminary JEE Mains 2026 notification was released which mentioned early registration. The demo registration link for JEE Main was also made functional briefly and based on this, it was expected that the form would go live any moment over the course of the days which followed. But a month after its announcement, the application process has not started as yet.

This move is justified on NTA’s part as they have announced the introduction of an Aadhar-based form-filling process. This is a major update as this simplifies the NTA JEE Mains registration process and ensures minimal errors by the candidates, especially in the critical details of the candidates. The portal might be getting technical upgrades to accommodate this feature and its testing to ensure the process remains smooth.
