The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has published the round 1 seat allotment for all registered candidates. The seat allotment result shows the allotted college and course based on the candidate's JEE Mains or JEE Advanced ranks and the choices they had filled during the choice filling process.

The candidates who have received an allotment in this round must pay the Seat Allotment Fee (SAF) by June 26. It is mandatory to pay the allotment fee if the candidates want to proceed in the counselling further. Only after payment of SAF, document upload and verification start. Therefore, candidates should complete the fee payment process as soon as possible. The document upload and verification deadline is also June 26.

How to Check JoSAA Round 1 Seat Allotment 2026?

Candidates can use the following steps to verify their seat allotment in the first round of JoSAA counselling:  

• Access the official JoSAA website and click on the link for seat allotment.  
• The JoSAA login page will appear. Input your JEE Main application number and password here.  
• After a successful login, candidates can view the seat allotment results.  
• Check the assigned college and course and save the page for future reference.

After the JoSAA seat allotment process, if the candidates is not happy with the allotted seat, they can opt for upgradation by selecting ‘Slide’, or ‘Float’. 

• Float: Candidates select the float option if they want a better college and course from their preference list.
• Slide: This option means candidates want a better course preference from their choice list, but in the same institution as allotted.
