KCET 2024 Counselling: The Karnataka Examination Authority has announced the dates for KCET 2024 second extended round. As per the notice released, the KCET option entry 2024 for second extended round can be done from September 30 to October 4. Candidates can modify, re-order, or enter their preferred options, regardless of whether the seats are available in the seat matrix through KCET 2024 option entry.

Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET counselling in online mode. Applicants have to complete the choice filling and locking after a successful registration. Candidates have to fill preferred choices of colleges and courses at the time of choice filling of KCET counselling 2025. KEA allots seats during the counselling process as per the choices filled by the candidates. After mock allotment, candidates are given chance to change their choice preference. After seat allotment results of KCET, candidates will be provided three options of freeze float and side.
Yes, you can still participate in the KCET counselling further grounds even if they are allotted seats. Applicants allotted seats can opt for float or sliding option from the login. If you want to get a seat in the same college but a different course then you can choose the slides option. However, if applicants is looking for upgradation in the college allotted then they must float option. If candidates choose freeze option after seat allotment then there is no provisions to participate in the further grounds of counseling.
There are around 250 colleges that offer admissions to engineering and architecture courses. There are both morning and evening shifts colleges. Applicants have to fill in the college and course choices at the time of KCET option entry facility. The admissions to architecture colleges will be done on the basis of NATA score 2025 while engineering admissions will be done on KCET 2025 score only. Candidates who wish to surrender their KEA seat selected in the first or second round can cancel the seat by October 3 till 11 AM. They will be eligible for a refund after a deduction of INR 5,000. However, if they surrender the engineering seat after the completion of the KCET second extended round, they will be required to pay the fees prescribed by the Government along with a penalty amounting to five times the fee, applicable to all category candidates.
