KCET Counselling 2025 Last Date for Round 3 Option Entry Today

The exam body, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is conducting the KCET 2025 Round 3 counselling, and it will close the round 3 option entry window today, September 8, 2025. Registered candidates must complete their college and course preference entry process on the official website. cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea before the window gets closed. Based on the preferences filled by candidates, KEA will announce the KCET 2025 Round 3 seat allotment results shortly.

The KCET 2025 Phase 3 seat matrix has already been released on the official website, through which students can review the availability of seats across the engineering, architecture or other professional courses.

What is the KCET Round 3 Option Entry?

The KCET round 3 option entry process began on September 6, 2025, and will close today. It is a window through which candidates who didnโ€™t get selected in the previous allotments can enter their preferences and get the seats. 

After this deadline, no modifications will be accepted. Candidates must carefully lock their choices in the correct order of priority, as seat allotment will be based on the basis of ranks, reservations, and availability in the seat matrix.

Candidates are advised to keep track of the official website as well as shiksha.com to track the latest updates and avoid last-minute delays. They must complete the process well before advance.

Q: ย  How many rounds of KCET counselling will be held?
A:

KCET UGCET counseling is generally conducted in three grounds. KEA will first release the KCET mock seat allotment result after the conclusion of the choice-filling process. The first two grounds of KCET 2024 counseling will be conducted for birth general merit and Hyderabad Karnataka region candidates. However round 3 or round 2 extended will be conducted as per the availability of seats. Candidates have to complete the KCET counseling registration as per the schedule. Only successfully registered candidates will be allowed to participate in the KCET 2025 extended round counseling.  

Q: ย  What is the total number of participating institutes for KCET counselling?
A:

There are around 250 colleges that offer admissions to engineering and architecture courses. There are both morning and evening shifts colleges. Applicants have to fill in the college and course choices at the time of KCET option entry facility. The admissions to architecture colleges will be done on the basis of NATA score 2025 while engineering admissions will be done on KCET 2025 score only. Some of the top colleges for admissions to engineering and architecture courses are given below. 

  • PES University 

  • Ramaiah Institute of Technology 

  • R.V. College of Engineering 

  • Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering 

  • Siddaganga Institute of Technology 

  • KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi 

  • M.V.J. College of Engineering

Q: ย  I am not interested in the seat offered during KCET counselling. Can I still participate in further seat allotment rounds without accepting
A:

Yes, you can still participate in the KCET counselling further grounds even if they are allotted seats. Applicants allotted seats can opt for float or sliding option from the login. If you want to get a seat in the same college but a different course then you can choose the slides option. However, if applicants is looking for upgradation in the college allotted then they must float option. If candidates choose freeze option after seat allotment then there is no provisions to participate in the further grounds of counseling.
