MHT CET 2026 Option Entry Ends Today; Check Seat Matrix for Top Government Colleges
MHT CET 2026 CAP round 1 option entry ends today. Candidates should finalise their college preferences after checking the official seat matrix of top government engineering colleges.
The State CET Cell, Maharashtra will close the MHT CET 2026 CAP round 1 option entry process today, July 30. Candidates who have qualified for the counselling process must complete and confirm their college and branch preferences. The CAP round 1 option entry started on July 28, following the release of the final merit list and category-wise provisional seat matrix.
Candidates are advised to check the official seat matrix for MHT CET CAP 2026 before locking their preferences. The engineering admission process has witnessed a significant increase in seat availability, with 380 participating institutes offering 1,92,180 engineering seats, up from 372 institutes and 1,77,985 seats last year. CSE course has witnessed the highest increase based on the growing demand.

The MHT CET 2026 CAP round 1 seat allotment will be announced on August 2. The allotment will be based on the candidate's merit in MHT CET 2026, the preference order selected during option entry. Candidates who are allotted seats in MHT CET round 1 have to accept the allotted seats by August 5 and complete the college reporting and fee payment activity before the same deadline.

No. There is no minimum mark required to pass the MHT CET exam. The only requirement to get the scorecard is to appear in all subjects of MHT CET and obtain a non-zero score.
While it is necessary that students pay special attention to chapters with high weightage, it is highly advised that they cover the full MHT CET syllabus. The question paper of MHT CET is prepared by considering the entire CET syllabus which consists of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from class 11 and 12.
