The National Testing Agency (NTA) has shared an important update for students who appeared for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. As per the official notice, the provisional JEE Main 2026 answer key and response sheet will be released on February 4. The answer challenge window will be open from February 4 to February 5, 2026. During this period, students can check their answers, match them with the official key, and challenge any question or answer they feel is incorrect. A fee will apply to each challenge, as per NTA rules.

NTA has also mentioned that JEE Main result 2026 will be announced by February 12. Along with the JEE Main result, NTA will announce the JEE Main 2026 toppers.

First, NTA will release the provisional JEE Mains answer keys that will be open for objections and challenges. Candidates can challenge the JEE Mains 2026 answer keys under their respective logins of JEE Main 2026. The JEE Main 2026 response sheet will have the answers marked by the candidates on the exam day. The response sheet of JEE Main is a replica of the answers that the candidates mark on the exam day.

Using the JEE Main response sheet 2026, candidates can compare their answers with the correct answers given on the JEE Main answer keys. This will give the candidates the number of correct and incorrect answers they have marked in the exam. Using the JEE Mains marking scheme, candidates can calculate the raw marks in the exam.
