JEE Main 2026 April Attempt Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the JEE Mains session 2 registration on February 1, tomorrow. NTA has confirmed the release date for the JEE Mains 2026 April attempt registration. As per the official announcement, registration will start on January 1 and will be available until February 25 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA will hold the JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam between April 2 and 9.
The JEE Main application form will be available online only. To start the application process, the candidates registering for the first time should keep their functional email and mobile number ready. Other than that, candidates must keep a valid ID card, like the Aadhaar card, PAN card or Passport, ready. Candidates can also apply using DigiLocker.
Candidates who have registered for the January attempt will also be able to fill in their session 2, using their January attempt application number and password. They will only have to select their paper, exam centre and pay the application fee to apply for the second attempt.

To start with, the NTA registration for JEE Mains session 2, candidates must keep the following things ready:

- Active mobile number and email ID
- Identity type: Any one from PAN Card / DogiLocker / Aadhaar Card / Passport (Indian or Non-Indian)
- APAAR ID (Not compulsory)
- Educational certificates
- Caste/Category certificates
- Online payment details to pay fee
Documents to upload:
- Scanned photo in JPG/GPEG format between 10 to 200 KB
- Scanned signature in JPG/GPEG format between 10 to 100 KB
- Scanned copy of class 10 or equivalent certificate in PDF format between 50 to 300 KB

Important Things First Time JEE Main 2026 Applicants Must Know
Check some important details that candidates should not miss while applying for JEE Mains 2026 exam:
- Make sure your LIVE photo matches: Candidates should ensure that the three types of photos that they provide in the JEE Main application form must match with each other - Live photo/Aadhaar photo (for candidates who apply with Aadhaar)/uploaded scanned photo.
- ID proof used for registration will be needed on exam day: The id proof type that they chose during the application process is to be carried with the admit card on the exam day for verification.
- A scanned photo will also be needed on exam day: Two copies of the scanned photo that candidates upload to the application form will also be needed on the exam day. Therefore, candidates should keep extra copies ready.
In JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam, held from January 21 to 28 for paper 1(BE/BTech), a total of 13,00,368 candidates have appeared out of the 13,50,969 candidates scheduled to appear.

No, JEE Main application form can only be filled online. The application form of JEE Main is released only in online mode on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. There is no option of filling the application form in offline mode. Candidates who do not have a laptop/personal computer can visit the computer centre/common service centres to fill the application form. While filling the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates will also have to upload scanned image of their photo and signature. Candidates belonging to reserved category (Gen-EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) also need to upload the category certificate.
