Will There Be Bonus Marks in JEE Main 2026 Session 1?

Experts have mentioned that 7 questions might be dropped from the provisional answer key after careful review. In case questions are dropped from the question paper of any shift, then the candidates who have appeared in that particular shift will get bonus marks. For example, if a question is dropped from the January 21 shift 2 exam, then only those candidates who appeared for the JEE Main exam on the January 21 shift 2 exam will be eligible for bonus marks.

The final answer key will havethe details of the dropped question and the revised answers. Further challenges in the final answer key will not be invited, and this will be the final answer key based on which NTA will release the results of the students.

JEE Main 2026 Toppers for Session 1 Will Be Announced with Result

NTA will also release the toppers list for the January session exam with the result. The toppers will be all those candidates who will get 100 percentile marks in the exam. However, neither the JEE Mains cutoff for JEE Advanced qualification will be available with the session 1 result, nor will the All India Rank.

Cutoff and All India Rank will be available with the session 2 result based on the performances of the students in both attempts.
