NTA Update: When Will JEE Main 2026 City Intimation be Released?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released an update on JEE Main 2026. As per the update, the candidates who have received an email for photo verification certificate upload can now upload the certificate till January 15. Initially, the deadline to upload this certificate was January 7.
NTA Update: When Will JEE Main 2026 City Intimation be Released?
NTA is expected to release the JEE Main city slip 2026 this week. As per the official information brochure, the city intimation slip will be out in the first week of January 2026, tentatively. However, it is to be noted that NTA has asked the candidates who have received an email regarding a photo verification certificate to complete the process by January 15. Therefore, there is a chance that NTA may issue the city slip after January 15 when the verification process is completed.
Last year, the JEE Main city intimation slip for session 1 exams was released on January 10. This year, we can expect the city slip to be released this week, or there may be a chance that it will be out after January 15, when photo verification is done for all candidates.

JEE Main City Allotment - Details to Check
Once the JEE Main 2026 session 1 city allotment slip is out, candidates can check the following details on it:
- Paper applied for by the candidates
- Allotted exam city
- Allotted JEE Main 2026 exam date
- Application number
- Candidate's name
- Father's name
- Mother's name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Category
- Medium of paper
- Important notes by NTA
Candidates should make travel arrangements to the allotted city in advance so that they can reach the exam centre on time on the exam date. The JEE Main shift timing, centre name and address will be available with the NTA JEE Main hall ticket, 3 to 4 days before the exam.
