The MHT CET 2026 exam is conducted in online mode as a pen and paper based test.

Candidates claiming reservation benefits must have valid caste, caste validity, and non-creamy layer certificates, where applicable. These documents will be verified during the admission and counselling process.

The MHT CET 2026 registration process is expected to begin soon on the official website cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates planning to apply should keep basic details such as Class 10 and 12 marks, personal information, a valid mobile number, and email ID ready in advance to avoid last-minute issues once the portal goes live.

As per the MHT CET exam information brochure, the difficulty level of MHT CET exam is similar to JEE Mains. Candidates mmust refer to the official MHT CET syllabus to prepare for the test.

Candidates will be able to get admission to the following courses through MHT CET 2026-

In previous years, the registration window remained open for approximately least 4 weeks. Thus candidates can expect the registration last date to fall in February 2026.

Candidates can pay the MHT CET registration fee online through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.

The MHT CET PCM paper will have a total of 150 MCQ questions, 50 from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics each. The total duration of the paper is 3 hours. The exam will be conducted online in Computer-Based Test mode for 200 marks.

Candidates with a valid JEE Main score are eligible for admission through All India (AI) quota seats. Maharashtra state candidates can apply through MHT CET to maximise admission chances.

The uploaded photograph should be recent, clear, and as per the size and format specified by the State CET Cell. The signature must be done on white paper using black ink and scanned properly to avoid rejection during form scrutiny.

MHT CET cutoff for COEP Pune for 2024-25:

For the first-time, State CET Cell will conduct the MHT CET 2026 exam in two separate sessions, one in April and the other in May 2026.

As per reports, the authorities are expected to increase the MHT CET 2026 application fee by Rs 150 - 250, depending on the exam.

Candidates require the following documents for MHT CET regstration 2026-

• Aadhaar
• APAAR ID
• Disability Certificate and/or Unique Disability ID (UDID Card) (for PwD Candidates)
• Scribe Details (for PwD Candidates in case of Eligible Disabilities)

As per the MHT CET 2026 syllabus, class 11th topics have a 20% weightage while class 12th topics have 80% of the weightage in the test. Moreover, the syllabus is based on the Maharashtra board curriculum.

• Candidates must be Indian citizen.
• Must have passed or be appearing in class 12 with Physics and Mathematics along with Biology/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/IT/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Technical Vocational subject or passed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology.
• Candidate must have secured at least 45% marks in class 12 (40% for the reserved category).
• No age limit to apply for MHT CET.

While filling the MHT CET application form 2026, candidates must ensure-

• Good internet connection.
• Use a Laptop/Computer/Tab instead of a mobile phone.
• To keep the scanned documents as per the specified guidelines.
• UPI, Internet Banking, Credit or Debit card for application fee payment.

Aadhaar Card and APAAR ID are mandatory for the MHT CET registration 2026. Students must ensure these are ready before they start. Candidates can generate their APAAR ID by registering at the DigiLocket website (digilocker.gov.in/web/login) or get the APAAR enrollment number from their school.

CET Cell has already announced the MHT CET 2026 exam date. The MHT CET PCM exam date for session 1 is April 11 to 19, 2026 while the PCB exam date is April 21 to 26, 2026. The session 2 exam date for PCB is May 10 to 11, 2026 and for PCM is May 14 to 17, 2026.

As per a local news medi report, the MHT CET 2026 registration date was January 1, 2026. However, the same has been delayed. Candidates can expect the MHT CET registration to begin in January 2026 first week.
