TNEA 2025 Counselling: Certificate Verification Schedule OUT for Candidates Under Sports Quota
TNEA 2025 counselling is underway. The sports quota candidates have been allotted slots for phase 1 certification verification to be held from June 2 to 12, 2025. Check all details below.
A total of 4,290 candidates under the sports quota, who have applied for TNEA counselling, have to report for the TNEA 2025 phase 1 certification verification process starting on June 2. DoTE, Chennai has notified that all the Students who have applied for the sports quota have to attend the certificate verification in person as per the given schedule (Date and Time), along with all their original sports certificates and 2 sets of their xerox copies. Candidates must also carry all relevant forms and the printed TNEA application form. The venue of the certificate verification is VIVEKANANDA AUDITORIUM, ANNA UNIVERSITY, GUINDY CAMPUS, CHENNAI - 25. The phase 1 certificate verification for candidates under the sports quota will end on June 12.
Additionally, phase 2 of the certificate verification for Eminent Sportsperson will be announced later.

The candidates who have been allotted slots for TNEA 2025 sports quota certificate verification must report to the venue in person without fail. Without certificate verification, candidates cannot be allotted seats in TNEA 2025 counselling. The date and time allotted against the name of the candidates is the slot in which the certificate verification will be done. Candidates must report to the centre without fail.
The registration for TNEA 2025 counselling is currently in progress at tneaonline.org. The TNEA registration for 2025 started on May 7 and is set to end on June 6. According to the official information, a total of 2,43,907 registrations have been submitted as of May 25.
The TNEA 2026 dates will be announced in May 2026. Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will release the application process for TNEA 2026.
Candidates can check the important TNEA 2026 dates like registration dates, random number release dates, Certificate verification dates, rank list release dates and counselling dates. The counselling rounds will include steps like Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to the College/TFC and payment of fees.
10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths Physics and Chemistry which will be reduced to 200 (Maths 100, Physics 50 and Chemistry 50).

BE/B.Tech admission in Tamil Nadu is done based on the online counselling process called TNEA. There is no state-level entrance exam for admission in Tamil Nadu. Candidates have to register and appear for the online Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions TNEA counselling held every year. 10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling.
