JEE Advanced 2025 Expected Cutoff for General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS Categories; Check Minimum Marks to Qualify IIT JEE

After the release of JEE Advanced 2025 provisional answer keys on May 25, various experts have analysed the scores of the candidates and have provided expected cutoff marks to qualify JEE Advanced 2025 exam. Read details below.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam was held on May 18, and IIT Kanpur has released the provisional JEE Advanced 2025 answer keys on May 25. The provisional answer keys are now open to challenges till May 27. The experts in the field have projected that the JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff will fall this year from the last session. This is owing to the difficulty level of the exam, which has been deemed to be higher than last year.
Minimum Marks Needed to Qualify JEE Advanced 2025 for General, EWS, OBC, SC and ST
Last year, the JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff was 109 marks out of 360 for the Common Rank List (CRL), 98 marks for the EWS and OBC categories, and 55 for SC and ST categories.
This year, the cutoff, which is projected by the experts, is 101 to 105 marks out of 360 for the Common Rank List (CRL), 92 to 95 marks for the EWS and OBC categories, and 49 to 52 for SC and ST categories.

JEE Advanced 2025 Result
IIT Kanpur will release the JEE Advanced 2025 result on June 2. The JEE Advanced 2025 result will be available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. When the results are released, candidates will receive a scorecard that shows their scores in all three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as their performance in both parts of the exam, known as Paper 1 and Paper 2.
The JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff will be out with the JEE Advanced result. Only those candidates who will qualify the minimum marks needed to qualify JEE Advanced will be allotted JEE Advanced 2025 ranks. The candidates with JEE Advanced 2025 ranks will be eligible to participate in the JoSAA counselling for admission to the IITs.

There are two types of Joint Entrance Examination Advanced cutoffs: qualifying and admission cutoffs.
The qualifying cutoff is released with the result. Last year, the cutoff marks were 74 marks for the Common Rank List (CRL); 66 for GEN-EWS rank list & OBC rank list; 37 marks for SC, ST and PWD rank lists; and 18 marks for Preparatory course rank lists.
The admission cutoff will be released during the seat allotment process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The admission cutoff is released round-wise in the form of closing ranks for all courses and categories.
