TNEA Counselling 2024: Round 3 Choice Filling Starts at tneaonline.org
DoTE has started the TNEA round 3 choice filling process today. Candidates who had selected upward movement in the previous allotment round, can also check the round 2 provisional allotment on the TNEA login. Check complete details below.
TNEA Round 3 Choice Filling Starts Today at tneaonline.org
The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has commenced the round 3 choice filling under TNEA counselling 2024 today, August 23. The TNEA (round 3) choice filling process will be open until August 25 on the official website, tneaonline.org. Candidates who participate in this round can check the tentative seat allotment results on August 26.
In addition to round 3 choice filling, DoTE is releasing the provisional allotment results for round 2 candidates who opted for upward movement. Both the round 2 upward movement allotment and round 3 choice filling can be accessed on the TNEA portal using registered login credentials.

TNEA Round 3 Choice Filling Process
The choice filling process in the third round is similar to that in the previous allotment rounds. The space below mentions the TNEA choice filling process:
1st Step: Visit TNEA website, and login using the registered email ID and password
2nd Step: Choose the preferences considering the cutoffs, and college-course preferences. DoTE will allocate a seat based on the vacancy, candidate’s rank, and community.
3rd Step: Candidates can add or remove choices anytime before the last date. DoTE provides an option to the candidates to download their choices or tro send the same over an email.
4th Step: Choice locking facility is available once the candidate has completed the choice filling based on his/her preferneces. To lock choices, candidates have to complete an OTP verification and click on the burron stating ‘Lock My Choice Lock’
The TNEA round 3 tentative allotment results will be declared on August 26. Candidates will be allowed to confirm the tentative allotment by August 27. Further, the round 3 provisional allotment results will be announced on August 28.

Check below the steps on how to fill choices in TNEA 2026 counselling: Add/Remove Choices: Candidates have to choose carefully their preferences for getting a seat in a branch in an institution. Based on the availability of seats, rank, and community, candidates will be allotted. Candidates must prepare a list of choices in the order of preference to enter the choices in the order preference correctly and quickly. Choice Entry and Locking of Choices will be available for 3 days, 3rd day until 5.00 pm. All the above processes can be completed from anywhere, from your home if you have a facility or you can avail of the facility of TFC. Choice Entry and Locking of Choices (3 days, 3rd day until 5.00 pm. Adding choices - On the top Navigation Bar, candidates will SEE the link for Add Choices. Using this, candidates can create a list of branches and colleges. This choice list or preference list should finally be in the order of candidate preference. By clicking, add choices, the following screen will appear on the screen. Choice by District Entering the name of the District in the list box field Choice by Branch Name Entering the name of the Branch Name in the text box field Choice by College Code Entering the name of the College Code in the text box field Choice by College Name Entering the name of the College Name in the text box field.
