GATE 2025 Application Form Begins on Aug 24; Check Fees and Documents Required

IIT Roorkee will open the GATE 2025 application form window on August 24, 2024, at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates who wish to apply can check information regarding fees and required documents here.  

GATE Application Form 2025: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) registration process will start on August 24, 2024. Candidates can access the application window to register for M.Tech and PhD admissions.  

IIT Roorkee is conducting GATE 2025. The exam will be conducted in two sessions: forenoon and afternoon on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. GATE 2025 is a computer-based entrance examination with 30 exam papers. The mode of the question paper is English, and candidates can opt for two paper combinations.  

Steps to Register for the GATE Application Form 

The step-by-step process to apply for the GATE 2025 application form is as follows - 

• Visit the official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in 

• Look for the application form link and click on “New Register” 

• Complete the registration process and log in using the credentials 

• Fill out the necessary details and upload the documents as per specifications 

• Make the application fee payment 

• Confirm and submit the application form.  

• Download the GATE application form for future reference 

Important Documents Required for GATE 2025 Application Form 

Candidates must keep the following documents ready while applying for the GATE - 

• Recent passport-size photograph as per specifications 

• Signature as per specifications 

• Scanned copy of category certificate in PDF format 

• Scanned copy of the PwD certificate in PDF format 

• A scanned copy of a valid photo identity card, such as an Aadhar/PAN/Voter ID card 

• The photo ID card must have the name, date of birth, and unique photo ID number. It must be taken to the examination hall.  

GATE 2025 Application Fee 

Candidates applying for GATE must pay the application fee to confirm their enrollment for the examination. The payment method is online and must be completed before the deadline provided by the authorities. Candidates can check the GATE 2025 application fees below - 

GATE is a prestigious national-level entrance examination that offers admissions into M. Tech and ME programs. Last year, 653,292 appeared for the examination, of which only 1.29 lakh candidates qualified.
