TS ECET 2020 exam postponed until further notice

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education has decided to postpone TS ECET (Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test) 2020 examination.

However, official notification related to the postponement of TS ECET 2020 exam is yet to released by the authorities. This major decision was taken due to the rise in COVID-19 cases across the state and country.

Hyderabad High Court’s had questioned the State Government regarding the exams when the statewide lockdown was extended in the wake of rising Coronavirus-19 cases. Also, the High court was hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by NSUI seeking postponement of all the entrance examinations. In response to this, the Telangana Govt filed an affidavit in the HC confirming the postponement of all TS CETs and other state-level examinations.

TS ECET 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on July 04 in two sessions. The TS ECET 2020 admit card was scheduled to be released on June 27, 2020. TS ECET exam is a gateway for the Lateral admission through Common Entrance Test into 2nd year regular BE/BTech Courses in both University and Private Un-aided Professional Institutions (Minority & Non-Minority ) approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
