VITEEE Counselling 2026: No Reason for Seat Allotment in Phase III
One of the primary reason, for no seat allotment in phase III, even with a good rank can be due to restrictive choice-filling options. Many students from phase II who participate in the round 3 counselling, thinking their rank will get them seat, and filled choices only targeting core CSE, CSE specialisations or low fee categories at Vellore and Chennai campuses.
However, because these high-demanding seats were completely filled during phase II counselling, the VITEEE counselling portal must have found no match for their choices. On the other hand, students who had filled choices combining different branches, campuses, including VIT AP and Bhopal campuses and categories have been allotted in VITEEE 2026 phase III seat allotment.
Possible Reasons for No Seat Allotment -
- Restrictive choice-filling
- Limiting campus peferences
- Focusing only on low category fee
