VITEEE 2026 Question Attempting Guide: Vellore Institute of Technology is all set to start VIT entrance test from April 28 onwards. Students appearing for VITEEE 2026 must be aware of how questions will be asked in CBT mode along with hall instructions. Here’s a quick guide to help you understand about VIT 2026 CBT features, revised marking scheme, etc.
VIT entrance exam 2026 will be held online in two shifts. Students must carry their VITEEE admit card 2026 along with valid ID proof. VIT has set strict guidelines which must be followed carefully. While attempting questions, students must be aware of VIT 2026 computer-based test features, so that they can solve questions carefully.
How VITEEE 2026 is conducted?
VIT Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted online on scheduled dates, shift-wise. Students will be allotted a system to attempt CBT. Each computer node is connected to a central server which will deliver questions in real time. All questions will be in English (MCQ format) and will appear randomly. Candidates will be monitored individually through CCTV.
Students are advised to go through instructions carefully before starting test. They can go back back-and-forth to navigate questions. Once time is over, responses will be automatically submitted. To stay familiar, with exam format, students can attempt VITEEE mock test available at viteee.vit.ac.in.
How to avoid negative marking and attempt smartly?
Since, this year VIT has introduced negative marking, candidates must carefully attempt questions. One incorrect response can affect your ranking. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded, and -1 mark for wrong answer. Total marks are 500 for 125 questions and time duration is 2.5 hours.

Keep a practice of solving Chemistry, Aptitude, and English in 45 mins (approx)
