Vellore Institute of Technology will be conducting VIT Entrance Test 2026 starting from April 28 to May 3. The computer-based test of 2.5 hours duration with five sections, including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude of 125 questions aims to test conceptual knowledge. However, with revised marking scheme in VITEEE exam pattern, the focus now shifts to accuracy, precision, and time management. How to score maximum marks in VIT 2026 with Negative Marking?
As per new VITEEE exam pattern, 4 marks is awarded for correct answer and -1 mark for incorrect response. Here’s how students can plan and improve in their question attempt skills.

Start with easiest sections- Chemistry, English and Aptitude. Target to complete the sections in 45 minutes

Then move to Maths and Physics. Only attempt questions that do not take much of time and you are sure about the answer.
