WBJEE 2022 official brochure released at wbjee.nic.in; check exam pattern and syllabus
WBJEE 2022 brochure is out now. Read to know the syllabus, pattern and more details of WBJEE 2022.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the official WBJEE 2022 information brochure at wbjee.nic.in. Candidates can now check the details of the entrance examination and admission process through the brochure of WBJEE 2022. In addition to the previously announced tentative WBJEE 2022 exam dates, the brochure has also released the exam pattern and syllabus.
WBJEE 2022 Exam Pattern
WBJEE 2022 will be conducted as a pen-and-paper-based test at various centres. Candidates will have to answer objective questions that will have four options. There will be three categories and each will have its own marking scheme. The exam will be divided into two sections – Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). Two hours will be provided for each paper.
Category I: Only one answer option is correct (Total Number of Questions – 110)
Category-II: Only one answer option is correct (Total Number of Questions – 25)
Category-III: One or more answer options are correct (Total Number of Questions – 20)
WBJEE 2022 Marking Scheme
| Category | Marking Scheme |
|---|---|
| Category I | Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. An incorrect response will yield a loss of ¼ mark For any combination of responses with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield -1/4 (25% negative) marks. |
| Category II | Only one option is correct, correct response yield two marks. An incorrect response will yield -1/2 (25% negative) marks For any combination of responses with more than one option, the said answer will be treated as incorrect and will yield a -1/2 (25% negative) mark. |
| Category III | One or more options may be correct. Only correct responses will yield 2(two) marks. There is no negative marking. |
The official WBJEE 2022 syllabus has also been released. Candidates will have to study topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. To be well prepared for the exam, the candidates are advised to check the detailed syllabus.
WBJEE 2022 will be held tentatively on April 23. The official WBJEE 2022 application form will be released online tentatively on December 21. The registered candidates will be eligible to attempt the exam and participate in the admission process.
