The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras will announce GATE 2027 exam date along with the release of official notification. The GATE registration is expected to start in fourth week of August, based on last year's schedule. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE exam) is a national-level postgraduate engineering entrance exam conducted to offer admission to MTech/ME and PhD programs at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The exam is held once a year on multiple dates to evaluate candidate's knowledge and expertise in undergraduate-level programs.

Who can apply for GATE Exam 2027?
Candidates who have completed their BTech or currently studying in 3rd year or in the final year can apply for GATE 2027 exam. Of the other hand, candidates with BSc/B.A/B.Com degree who want to pursue Masters in IITs and IISc can also apply for GATE. To apply for the exam, candidates will have to register at GOAPS portal.
