#postponegate 2022 is trending on top on Twitter since morning. Under the tag, over 1,00,000 students have tweeted to defer the GATE 2022. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 5, 6, 12 and 13, 2022.
With only a week before the commencement of GATE 2022, thousands of candidates who will appear in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) have demanded a postponement due to the huge number of corona cases every day in the country.
The majority of students under the #postponegate2022 tweeted to postpone the exam. Aspirants can check the tweets of a few of the students to postpone the exam below.

In January 2022, students have made several requests to postpone the GATE 2022 exam. In the last week, over 23,000 students have joined a petition to postpone the exam. The petition was submitted to the exam conducting authority to postpone the exam as the number of COVID-19 cases across the country were very high.

At the very beginning of this month, students have requested to break the silence on conducting the exam as the conducting authority postponed the release of the GATE 2022 admit card twice. GATE 2022 aspirants have asked the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur to reveal whether the exam will be conducted as per the schedule or not.

Shiksha.com also conducted a survey on โShould GATE 2022 be postponedโ. Around 1,000 students participated in the survey of which around 80 per cent were of the opinion to postpone the exam. It clearly indicates that students are very afraid of appearing for the exam due to the huge number of coronavirus cases.

IIT Kharagpur has released the GATE 2022 admit card on January 15, 2022. Students can download the admit card by logging in to the website using their enrollment ID and password. GATE admit card is a mandatory document for students to appear for the exam.
