“NamAIste is made in India, made by Indians, made for the world. This is India’s gift to the hospitality industry”, says Dr Suborno Bose, Chairman, International Institute of Hotel Management.

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM), in collaboration with Entiovi Technologies, a Kolkata-based global deep-tech solutions provider, has launched NamAIste – IIHM HospitalityGPT, generative AI-powered knowledge engine for the hospitality industry.

Going beyond a conventional AI chatbot, IIHM has developed a customized Large Language Model (LLM) specifically tailored for the hospitality industry — ensuring hospitality-centric AI-powered learning and decision-making. This is not just an innovation — it is the future of hospitality intelligence, and IIHM is leading the way! It empowers AI-driven learning, decision-making, and innovation, ushering in a new era of hospitality intelligence.

Speaking to the media, Dr Suborno Bose, Chairman, IIHM, said, “With NamAIste, IIHM becomes a true pioneer in AI adoption for hospitality training and management. There is a new dawn in the world of hospitality. The global unison of technology and human touch will help the industry — and most importantly, countless hospitality students globally — who will befriend AI for an everlasting human friendship with hospitality stakeholders, especially travellers and guests.”

Dr. Bose added, “In a true contribution to the Make in India movement and aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat, NamAIste is made in India, made by Indians, made for the world. This is India’s gift to the hospitality industry. It is an engine of innovation, excellence, and an announcement that we are at par with the best in the world. The time for India had to come. We have arrived. If the US can have Google, and China can have Deep Seek, India can — and now has — NamAIste.”

Entiovi Technologies was the technology partner for the project. Sanjoy Chatterjee, Director, Entiovi Technologies,an industry-admired name in tech innovation, said during his vision address, “The uniqueness of NamAIste is not technology. The whole platform is built on open-source technology. The uniqueness is creating the knowledge base from 60 countries. Imagine a student in Bengal writing a question about Japanese culinary history and the answer coming from Japanese documents — in Bengali.”

This LLM is both inclusive and specific to the universe of hospitality. NamAIste – IIHM HospitalityGPT is designed to provide students, faculty, hospitality professionals, and industry stakeholders with real-time access to insights, trends, and best practices. Unlike other GPTs that dive into the open web for information, NamAIste deep dives into data, research, and knowledge curated from institutions and professional bodies specific to hospitality. This is not greenfield data but a curated collation across hospitality institutions from over 60 countries, with more contributions expected from hotels and stakeholders.

Q:   How is the infrastructure of IIHM Kolkata?
A:
International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM Kolkata) has a big campus and offers various facilities to students. The International Institute of Hotel Management has a cafeteria, big library, hostel, auditorium, labs, and provides other facilities for students. The students can visit the campus and check what all facilities are being offered by the International Institute of Hotel Management.
Q:   What are the facilities provided by IIHM Kolkata?
A:

IIHM Kolkata has a big campus and provides various facilities to undergraduate students. The International Institute of Hotel Management has a big library, hostel, cafeteria, auditorium, labs, and provides other facilities for students. There are hostels available for both boys and girls. The hostel is available 2 km from the college.

For example, a hotel may share its SOPs on maintenance or housekeeping; a renowned chef may contribute a paper on how he courses his meat cuts; or another culinary expert may offer insights into sourcing rare herbs for continental dishes from the Nilgiris. This is distinct from an app; anyone cannot register and begin using NamAIste at this stage. It will be made available gradually to stakeholders and the hospitality education industry.

But NamAIste is beyond technology. It is the most comprehensive bridge uniting centres and melting pots of hospitality knowledge — a global storehouse created from within, not a superficial amalgamation of what exists online. This will revolutionize hospitality education and training, enable smart, data-driven decision-making for industry professionals, and allow instant access to best practices, SOPs, and service innovation strategies.
