Central University of Karnataka is Offering Six New Postgraduate Programmes for 2026 Session; Check Course Details

Along with introducing new postgraduate courses, Central University of Karnataka's Vice-Chancellor Battu Satyanarayana announced 'earning while learning' initiative with an aim to promote self-reliance, skill enhancement and overall development of students. 

Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has started six new postgraduate courses from the academic session 2026 onwards. Vice-Chancellor Battu Satyanarayana shared that six new courses will be offered from this academic session. The new courses will start from 2026-27 school year. At present, online applications for these new master's degrees are now open at the university's website. Students can visit the official website to CUK-SAMARTH portal apply online. The student must have qualified the CUET (PG)-2026 or the GATE-2026 for admission. 

The new courses will focus on jobs and modern skills for students. The courses include the Master of Performing Arts (MPA) in Instrumental Arts (Tabla) and an M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Other options include M.Com in Banking & Financial Technology and an M.Sc in Statistics and Data Analytics. 

Students can also choose Master of Library and Information Sciences or the M.Sc. in Genetics and Genomics for admission. 

CUK Earn while Learning Plan

The university also announced a new "earn while learning" plan. This project helps students get money while they study. It will select 100 first-year master's students. Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of INR 3,000 for six months. They have to work for 90 minutes every day. Their duties will include planting trees, helping the environment, and teaching children in nearby villages.
