CUET UG 2022: NTA to release results by Sept 10, says UGC Chairman
With 14.9 lakh registrations, the CUET-UG exam is now the second largest entrance exam in the country, after NEET-UG
The National Testing Agency will announce the results of CUET-UG 2022, also known as Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate by September 10. Following this various universities will commence the admission process for their undergraduate courses.
University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman, M. Jagadesh Kumar speaking to Shiksha.com said that in 10 days from the day the CUET exam was concluded, NTA will release the results. βThe NTA will release the results by September 10, ten days from the exam ended,β he said.
He added that the university admissions will be smooth and students will not face any difficulty. Kumar said: β89 universities are participating this time and we are hopeful that the admissions will be smooth.β
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the CUET-UG 2022 in which 12.04 lakh candidates registered for the first five phases which ended on August 23 and phase six, which began on August 24 saw 72,729 candidates appearing for the examination. With 14.9 lakh registrations, the CUET-UG exam is now the second largest entrance exam in the country, after NEET-UG, which is the biggest entrance test in India with an average of 18 lakh registrations, JEE-Main's average registration is nine lakh.
Initially, the CUET-UG was scheduled to conclude on August 20, however, the exam was extended to six phases to accommodate students whose exam was rescheduled due to several glitches like technical glitches to last-minute changes in exam centre and uninformed changes in exam dates to admit cards.
