Several students from Delhi-NCR expressed happiness at coming back to college after more than one and a half years gap. Even the teachers were happy to hold physical classes and meeting students after a long gap.  Delhi University opened its doors for final year students while adhering to all the COVID-19 guidelines. However, the attendance of students was bleak in many of the colleges on the first day. Most of the students who attended physical classes hail from Delhi and its surrounding areas.
About 20 to 25 third-year students reached Ramjas College and Mirinda House College in DU's North Campus, as reported by English Daily. Students were very happy to meet the teachers and friends after so many days.

A student while expressing his happiness said, "We have come today after the lockdown. We expected many students to come to the physical classrooms however only a few students have turned up. There is no comparison between online and offline studies."

The University had decided to transit into the blended online-offline mode of teaching and learning in a phased manner after a nod by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on August 30, 2021, to reopen educational institutions. Students must note that the online classes will continue, even as the campus has reopened. With regards to visiting libraries, departments might give respective slots to students to visit libraries.
