Delhi University classes for Postgraduate Programme to commence from September 1

According to the schedule, semester 1st and semester 3rd of DU Post Graduate Programme will commence on September 1, 2023. Classes will be dispersed on December 22 and students will get preparatory leave from December 22 to December 29, 2023.

DU PG Academic Calendar 2023-24: The University of Delhi (DU) has released the academic calendar for postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2023-24. According to the schedule, semester 1st and semester 3rd of DU Post Graduate Programme will commence on September 1, 2023. Classes will be dispersed on December 22 and students will get preparatory leave from December 22 to December 29, 2023.

Through an official notification the University of Delhi said, “To give effect to the academic calendar for the academic session 2023-24, the existing academic calendar for the postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2022-23 issued vide notification no. Acad.1/299/Academic Calendar/761 dated 25.11.2022 for semester I and II has been amended accordingly ”.

The varsity will conduct the practical exams during the same period and the theory exams will start from December 30, 2023.

Meanwhile, DU PG classes for 2nd and 4th semesters will commence on January 15, 2024. Students of these semesters will have a mid-semester break from March 24 to March 31, 2024. Classes will be dispersed on May 12, 2024, and the preparatory leave and conduction of the practical exams will be from May 12 to May 19, 2024.

The theory exams for 2nd and 4th semesters will be conducted from May 20, 2024. The students will have their summer vacations from June 2 to July 21, 2024.

Meanwhile, the University of Delhi (DU) is all set to commence classes for all programmes from August 16, according to an official announcement. The varsity has taken this decision to bring uniformity across semesters.
