JMI Launches German & Japanese Studies UG Programs, Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance & Counseling for 2025–26
Jamia Millia Islamia has introduced UG (undergraduate) programs in German & Japanese Studies and an Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance & Counseling for the 2025–26 session. Apply online by September 6, 2025.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) university has announced three new academic courses for the 2025–26 session – undergraduate (UG) programs in German Studies and Japanese Studies, Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance & Counseling. Admissions for these courses are open till September 6, 2025, under the university’s online admission portal.
Details of the New Programs
JMI in a statement has stated that the two newly launched B.A. (Hons.) courses in German and Japanese Studies fall under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), in line with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). These courses are designed not only for language learning but also to cover cultural studies, translation, interpretation, and industry applications, preparing students for global opportunities in education, research, diplomacy, and corporate sectors.
"The Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance & Counseling, accredited by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), opens doors for careers in schools, hospitals, NGOs, healthcare facilities, and government organizations. With RCI-approved certification, graduates of this program will be well-placed to serve as certified counselors with wide career scope," states release issued by the university.

JMI BSc course admission is through CUET, the university also accept admission based on its in-house exam scores for some courses. The studenst preparing for the general test of CUET UG are advised to stay updated with the current affairs by reading the newspapers and magazines. It is also advisable to gather the study materials to prepare for the syllabus of General test and practice questions to become familiar with the type of questions asked in this section.
