Kurukshetra University

Kurukshetra University will soon begin admission to the BA Gita Studies Programme. The programme will offer knowledge to the Indian tradition through the value added programme. In order to attain a grasp over the programme, the university has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Gita Gyan Sansthanam (a Kurukshetra-based private institute run by Swami Gyananand) to regulate and look over the value-added courses.

Recently, the Kurukshetra University's Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) has conducted a one-day workshop on "Srimad Bhagavad Gita: Science, Modern Educaton and Life Management". Swami Gyananand, RSS ideologue, was the chief guest of the occasion who enlightened the essence of holistic education and life management through the Gita lessons.

The Srimad Bhagavad Gita is more than just religious literature; it also offers solutions to all of life's challenges. Swami Gyananand stated that the Gita represents not only India's pride but also a scripture for all of humanity.  The Gita enhances a person's hidden skills, focusses the mind, and teaches time management in life.

Prof Som Nath Sachdeva, KU vice-chancellor, stated that there is a need to bring the divine knowledge of the Gita to all levels of education through research, curriculum, and dialogues in order to enhance the future generation spiritually as well as technologically. Kurukshetra University will not only begin the BA Gita Studies programme but also aims to take the programme to postgraduate and doctorate levels.
