IGNOU December TEE 2021: Several students of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) have flooded the social media platform demanding online examinations. Earlier, the IGNOU December Term End Examination (TEE) 2021 was postponed amid the spike in COVID cases and its variant Omicron.

Students took to Twitter to express their worry over appearing for the IGNOU TEE December 2021 exams in offline mode. The hashtag “#JusticeforIGNOUStudents” and “#JusticeforStudents” have been trending on Twitter with several students raising their concern over the University decision on the IGNOU TEE December 2021 exam.

Students urged the University to conduct the exams in online mode and also hold them in Open Book Exam (OBE) mode due to safety concerns as chances of infection are high due to the ease of transmission of the Omicron variant.

Many students said that since the assignments, submissions and classes were conducted online, the examinations too should be held online. Several students have also asked the institution to conduct the exams in a blended mode, if a complete online shift is not possible.

Students have raised concerns after facing delays in exams. On January 6,  IGNOU TEE exams were postponed. The exams which were scheduled to take place from January 20 to February 23, 2022, are again rescheduled. Students have not been given any new revised dates for the exams.

With exams getting delayed so frequently, many students are afraid that they will miss out on job opportunities and recruitment exams as they won’t meet the eligibility criteria to apply for them.
