MH CET CAP Round Guidelines Published for 2025–26 Admissions

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has released an important notice to candidates and institutions appearing for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for several undergraduate and postgraduate technical courses for the academic year 2025–26.
How to Apply for MAH CET CAP?
Follow steps below to apply to the MAH CET CAP 2025-2026-
Step 1: Log in to the Official Website using your registration details (username and password).
Step 2: Once logged in, you will see a list of available institutions and courses.
Step 3: Make your selections according to Rule 9 mentioned in the official booklet. This rule will help you in choosing only the courses and colleges you are eligible for.
Step 4: You can choose up to 300 college-course combinations based on your eligibility and preference.
Step 5: After selecting your options, save them carefully and submit your choices before the deadline.
The application, once made, will be entertained for seat allotment in the respective CAP rounds.
CAP Allotment Rules and Rounds
Please go through the CAP allotment rounds and rules carefully -
CAP Round 1
- If the seat is already provided based on the candidate's first choice, it will automatically be frozen (Auto-Frozen).
- The candidate needs to accept the seat within the announced deadline.
- These kinds of candidates will not be eligible for subsequent rounds.
CAP Round 2
- If the seat is allocated from among the candidate's first three choices, it will automatically be frozen.
- The candidate must confirm the seat in time, or they will be excluded from the next rounds.
CAP Round 3
- If the seat is allotted within the first six preferences, it will get automatically frozen.
- The candidate has to confirm the seat in time and will be eliminated in subsequent rounds.
CAP Round 4 (Final Round)
- Allotment done in this round will be conclusive.
- No changes will be entertained.
- Candidates have to accept the admission as per the instructions.
