NALSAR organises 15th BR Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition 2022

In alliance with the Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Trust, NALSAR University of Law organised the 15th BR Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition 2022.

NALSAR University of Law collaborated with Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Trust to organise the 15th BR Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition 2022 from October 14 to October 16 at the university's campus.

Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Vice Chancellor (I/c) and Registrar, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad inaugurated the moot court competition, and the inaugural ceremony was presided over by Justice (retd.) Subhash Reddy, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, as the Chief Guest. 

Justice Reddy appreciated the moot problem for testing the participants on complex issues of constitutional law of contemporary relevance and highlighted that one of the themes of the problems – the constitutional challenge to the electoral bonds scheme – was especially relevant given that the Supreme Court had begun hearing the matter on October 14 itself, as reported by Live Law.  

15th BR Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition 2022 Details

Over 70 teams from across India took part in the competition and 24 qualified for the oral rounds. 8 of these teams qualified for the quarter-final rounds and the best four qualified teams were selected for the semi-finals.

Jindal Global Law School team comprising Saksham Gadia, Yajas Achal, and Ishika Singla and Symbiosis Law School, Pune team comprising Shelal Lodhi Rajput, Vibhor Chandra, and Nikunj Agarwal emerged as the finalists. Prof. V. Balakista Reddy congratulated all the participating teams, laying special emphasis on the mooting culture promoted by NALSAR. 

NALSAR Award Ceremony Of Joint Certificate Program

Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan addressed the convocation ceremony of the NALSAR - SHRD Joint Certification Workshop at NALSAR University in Hyderabad on October 15, 2022. She said that the role of HR in the development of the country is very great and the services provided by NALSAR through special courses are commendable.

The Award Ceremony of the Joint Certificate Programme Titled “Legal Acumen for HR Leaders”, organized by the Department of Management Studies (DoMS), NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad and Society for Human Resource Development (SHRD), India was held on October 15, 2022 at NALSAR University of Law, ‘Justice City’, Hyderabad.
