NLSIU Bangalore has revised seat intake capacity for BA LLB and LLM courses. Now, the total seats for NLSIU Bangalore through CLAT 2020 is 120 for BA LLB course and 50 seats for LLM course. Read here to know more.

The seat intake of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU) has been revised for BA LLB and LLM courses. Now, the total seats for NLSIU Bangalore through CLAT 2020 is 120 for BA LLB course and 50 seats for LLM course. Moreover, a new category 'Karnataka Students' has been added for seat reservation. Candidates who have already registered for CLAT 2020 and, selected NLSIU Bangalore as there most preferred college, should update their domicile if they are a resident of Karnataka state.ย 

The official notification informs, "This notification brings to the notice of the applicants a change in the seat matrix of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Karnataka. Candidates are requested to update their eligibility criteria, by Monday, 17th August 2020, if applicable."

About new category seat intake, "Up to 25% of total seats in each vertical reservation category, subject to a maximum of Thirteen (13) students shall be admitted under the horizontal institutional preference for Karnataka Students.

  • General Category candidates who are 'Karnataka Students' shall benefit from a 5% concession on the General Merit cut-off score obtained in CLAT 2020.
  • 'Karnataka Students' who also belong to the SC, ST or PWD categories shall be subject to the same concessions provided to SC, ST and PWD categories respectively. "
