Lucknow schools closed today for Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti

Previously, considering the decreasing temperature in Lucknow, the district government decided to change the school timings of students.

Lucknow Schools Closed Today: The Uttar Pradesh government announced that schools in Lucknow will remain closed today, December 29, 2022. Lucknow schools will be closed in honour of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti.

Lucknow District government issued official orders for school closure in the city on December 28, 2022. Schools will be closed tomorrow, the order stated.

"Schools in Lucknow will remain closed tomorrow on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji," a tweet issued by news agency ANI stated.

All schools under the UP Basic Education Council must comply with the order passed by the district government. Lucknow schools will be closed today, December 29, 2022.

Previously, considering the decreasing temperature in Lucknow, the district government decided to change the school timings of students. The school timings were changed until December 31, 2022. According to the official notice issued on December 21, 2022, the school timings were changed to 10 AM to 3 PM.

Meanwhile, various states such as Bihar, Delhi, and other parts of Uttar Pradesh have announced their decision to close schools considering the cold weather. Bijnoir has closed schools for students from Classes 1 to 8. For Students of Classes 9 to 12, timings had been changed to 10 AM to 3 PM. Meanwhile, in Noida, schools have been closed until January 1 amid chilly cold waves in northern India.
