The colleges and universities have now been allowed to reopen with 50 per cent of the total capacity following COVID-19 protocols.

The state government finally gives colleges in Maharashtra a nod to reopen for offline classes from February 15. The colleges, universities in the state have been kept closed for more than ten months in wake of the COVID-19 outbreak and to avoid its further spread. The colleges and universities have now been allowed to reopen with 50 per cent of the total capacity following COVID-19 protocols. The announcement was made by the State Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant. For college students the rule of minimum attendance of 75 per cent will be waived off for this year, the Minister announced.

The students and staff members will have to wear face masks and maintain social distancing inside the campuses. The Universities and colleges will have to provide sanitisers inside the campus. The colleges and Universities have been conducting online classes for the students since mid-March, 2020. The Universities, colleges opted for an online mode of education to avoid any academic loss of the students.

Earlier, the Maharashtra Education minister Varsha Gaikwad had shared the schedule for the Maha HSC, SSC 2021 Examinations via Twitter. Maharashtra HSC Exams 2021 will begin from April 23 while Maha SSC Exams 2021 will begin from April 29. The Maharashtra Board results 2021 will be announced in July for HSC and August for SSC.
