Banaras Hindu University has announced that the document verification, GD/PI rounds for admission in MBA and MBA IB courses have been postponed due to the global impact of coronavirus.
As the number of COVID-19 cases kept on increasing every day around the world, and its impact is visible in the country with positive 170 positive cases the Banaras Hindu University has announced on its official website that all the process for completion of admission in MBA and MBA IB courses have been postponed.
The decision had been taken by the Banaras Hindu University as a precautionary step to avoid the spread of the infection. Banaras Hindu University had scheduled GD/PI rounds for different management courses from March 20-23.
The new dates for the GD/PI will be released by the university soon after reviewing the whole situation.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) had declared the current COVID-19 outbreak as pandemic and warned countries to prepare for it. Following the guidelines, the Central government had asked all the educational institutions around the country to shut down till March 31 until further notice.
All academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities have also been suspended around the country by the Centre till March 31 in all education institutions around India. However, some of the colleges have asked their teachers, and staff to be available on the phone or email in case of a requirement.
The Health Ministry data states that the number of positive cases in India as of today is 170, with three dead. Maharashtra had till now reported the highest number of confirmed cases in the country followed by Kerala.
