The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released the PGCET 2026 admit card on June 7 for the exam to be held on June 14. Candidates had to select the test city preference while filling the application form. Following the issuance of the KEA PGCET hall ticket, several applicants have raised issues stating that their centre allocation is far from their preferred test city. Some of these applicants also have their UG semester exam scheduled on June 13, and 15.
According to some of the candidates on social media platforms, PGCET hall tickets mention a major change in the districts. For instance, a student residing in Mangalore, who had selected a local city during registration, discovered the allotted test venue is in Bengaluru, leading to a travel distance of over 350 kilometres.
Candidates are concerned about the travel time in between their semester exams, sharing academic challenges. Students state that travelling long distances to reach distant KEA test centres directly compromises their ability to attend their semester exams. Candidates have also been criticising KEA for the mismanagement of the state-level exams.
