IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2021: Students receive 32 job offers in consulting on Day 1

Boston Consulting Group offered the highest number of 30 offers in Cluster 1 of the final placements at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2021: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad began its final placement drive for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) class of 2021. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the restriction imposed to contain it, the whole placement process will be conducted virtually this year. The institution follows a cluster-cohort placement process wherein companies offering similar profiles are grouped into cohorts, and several cohorts are invited to the campus in a particular cluster. 
On the first day of IIMA placement 2021, Boston Consulting Group alone made 32 job offers including pre-placement offers closely followed by McKinsey which made 30 job offers.

In Cluster 1, firms from sectors like investment banking and markets, management consulting, advisory consulting and private equity, venture capital and asset management participated. The second and third clusters of IIMA placements will be conducted on March 5 and March 8, respectively.
In the finance sector, financial service company, Nomura, made seven offers to IIMA students followed by Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, each offering five job opportunities. Students also bagged roles in offshore consulting and finance companies in the Middle East and Singapore. Other recruiters included Accenture Strategy, American Express, Analysys Mason, Arthur D. Little, Avendus, Citi, Credit Suisse, GEP Consulting, IBM, Monitor Deloitte, Oliver Wyman, Praxis, and the Xander Group among others. At IIM Banglore placement drive, the students bagged offered 481 job offers with the consulting sector alone hiring 165 students.
