IIM Amritsar Placements 2020: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar has successfully concluded its summer placements drive for the MBA batch 2020-22. According to the official data released by the IIM, the placement drive at the management institute wrapped up on a high note with 100 per cent summer placements. With teaching and job interviews moving to virtual platforms due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the B-school had to make several changes in the recruitment process.
However, despite the pandemic and the economic slowdown, IIM Amritsar outdid its previous performances by achieving 100 per cent summer placements for its largest MBA batch since inception. The recruitment drive received an overwhelming response from the recruiters. Reports suggest that the institute saw over 100 recruiters partaking in the summer internship hiring process, a whopping 100 per cent year-on-year increase in the organisations gracing the institute. More than 80 companies participated for the first-time in IIM Amritsar Placement Drive.
Industry’s big brands such as Crompton Greaves, Jio Creative Labs, Kotak Mahindra, Adobe, Dalmia Group, IOCL, Haldiram’s, Shoppers Stop, Capital Food and Akshay Patra participated in IIM Amritsar’s summer internship drive for the first time. The list of previous recruiters includes names such as ICICI Lombard, RBI, Xiaomi, V-Guard, Cipla, HPCL. These companies continued their association with the institute, bearing testimony to our alumni and astounding performance in the industry.
Considering the pandemic situation and following the precautionary laid down by the health ministry against the novel coronavirus spread, IIM Amritsar conducted its placement drive virtually. All the summer internship processes were conducted seamlessly through the virtual mode providing opportunities in all management areas. Students bagged the top quartile average stipend and the highest stipend of Rs 99,207 and Rs 1,70,000, respectively.
