The PI shortlist form is to be filled online

Candidates interested in pursuing MBA from IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Jammu or IIM Sirmaur have to submit the IIM CAP 2026 shortlist form and Expression Of Interest (EOI). Selection will be based on CAT 2025 score and academic profile. The IIM CAP 2026 form submission window is open and candidates must know what are the documents required for applying. Those whose profile will be shortlisted, will be invited for PI round. The fee to pay for IIM CAP PI shortlist round in INR 2000 (INR 1000 for SC/ST/PwD)

IIM CAP Registration Process 2026

Candidates can apply for IIM CAP with the help of their CAT login ID. Check steps to follow:

  • Log on to IIM CAP 2026 website
  • Click on the link indicating CAP 2026
  • Enter CAT ID and password
  • Fill the CAP form, upload EOI and relevant documents and click on submit

Candidates must select three different cities (in order of preference), in the IIM CAP 2026 form to appear in the PI process.

IIM CAP 2026: Documents to Upload

  • Photograph and Signature (same photograph and signature as uploaded in the CAT Application Form)
  • Photo Identity Card Document (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, and Passport)
  • CAT 2025 scorecard (upload the pdf that you downloaded from the CAT website)
  • 10th and 12th/Diploma (mark sheet and certificate)
  • Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree
    • Graduation Marksheet of all semesters/years.
    • Degree Certificate is required for those who have graduated before 2025.
    • A Provisional Degree Certificate is required for those who have completed graduation in 2025 but have not received the degree
  • Master's Degree certificate
  • Professional Degree certificate
  • Category/PwD Certificate, if applicable

Work Experience Requirements

Only Full-time remunerative experience after graduation must be entered. Part-time/ Project/ Internship/ training/ apprenticeship/ Article-ship / Pre-graduation work experience must not be entered and will not be counted as work experience. Candidates must not enter any experience obtained as part of the eligibility degree (bachelor’s degree or professional degree as applicable).

Work-experience data till 31st December 2025 will be considered for CAP 2026 and further admission processes. Therefore, kindly fill in the related data and upload the documents in the CAP 2026 portal accordingly.

Candidates should merge all work experience into a single file and upload it to the website.

Documents required for experience as an employee:

The joining/appointment letter/relieving letter must be on the company letterhead with the seal and signature of the competent authority.

  • Relieving letter are required for all the past organizations/companies the applicant has worked with.
  • A bank account statement for the employment period is mandatory for candidates.
  • At least one additional statutory document, such as an EPF statement/ ESIC statement/ NPS statement/ Form 16, are necessary for the verification of the work experience.

Documents required for experience as an entrepreneur

A candidate who is a proprietor, partner, or director of a firm, has to provide the document proof such as the income tax return and other regulatory return filings for the relevant period. A certificate of registration for doing a business from the registrar of companies or municipal corporation (or other sector-specific licenses) and appropriate authorities such as MSME certificate issued by Govt. of India, Udyog Aadhar Registration Certificate, Partnership deed of the firm duly signed by all partners and GST registration certificate.

Q:   How many IIMs can I select in CAT application form?
A:

Candidates can select up to 21 IIMs in CAT application form for PI shortlist and admission. There is no cap on selecting campuses. Candidates must however, make an informed choice but first checking CAT cut off, course specialisation and fee of all IIMs and basis that select campuses in the CAT application form. It is best to choose a combination of top IIMs and newer IIMs so that you have wider options for admission.

Q:   Can I edit my CAT application form after submission?
A:
Once the CAT application form is submitted, candidates are not allowed to make changes in it. In case, you've made errors, you need to fill a fresh CAT application form and pay the fees again. However, editing of certain fields such as photo, signature and test city preference is allowed during form correction process which starts 2-3 days after the CAT registration process concludes. The form correction window is opened for 3-4 days during which candidates can edit only these three fields. If they have made a mistake in any other field, they cannot edit it. No request for changes is accepted by the examination authorities. Thus, it is very important to fill the CAT application form correctly with valid details. Candidates must keep the important documents such as Aadhaar card, class 10, class 12, graduation certificates, birth Certificate address proof, work experience documents, etc. To cross check the information while filling the form. They must also be very careful in selecting Iims and courses as they will be eligible for only those Iims and courses which they shall have selected in the CAT form.
Q:   When is IIM Shortlist released?
A:

IIM shortlist of top IIMs is released in the first week of January soon after CAT result declaration. All IIMs release their shortlist one by one after that in the same month. By the end of January, all 21 IIMs release their MBA/PGP shortlist. The WAT-PI shortlists for admission is released individually by the institutes but for the CAP participating IIMs. For them, the CAP conducting IIM releases the PI shortlist form and guidelines on behalf of rest of them.
