While entering Class 10 details in the CAT 2026 application, the total marks of all subjects listed on the mark sheet must be considered. Candidates must calculate aggregate percentages irrespective of board regulations. If grades or CGPA are awarded, conversion must follow the certified procedure of the respective board.

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities registering for CAT 2026 must select their disability type, percentage of disability, and PwD UDID number. Candidates requiring wheelchair support or a scribe must indicate their requirement in the form. Scribe users must arrange their own scribe and submit the required scribe affidavit form.

Candidates who applied for a new NC-OBC or EWS certificate on or after April 1, 2026, but have not received it yet, may still submit their CAT 2026 application. They must upload an old certificate along with an undertaking format from the website and proof of their new certificate application.

Candidates applying under the EWS category for CAT 2026 must submit a certificate valid for the financial year 2026–27, assessed for 2025–26. The certificate must confirm that the gross annual family income is below ₹8 lakh and that the family does not exceed specified agricultural or residential property limits.

Category candidates applying under NC-OBC for CAT 2026 must upload a valid certificate issued on or after April 1, 2026. The certificate must be in English or Hindi, state the caste name, resolution number, and explicitly confirm that the candidate does not belong to the Creamy Layer.

Candidates applying under EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST, or PwBD categories must upload scanned PDF copies of their valid certificates during CAT 2026 registration. Scanned copies of original or digital certificates do not require self-attestation. However, self-attestation is strictly required if photocopied documents are scanned and uploaded.

Applicants must upload clear scanned files of their passport photograph and signature during registration. Submitting files that deviate from the official layout rules can lead to application rejection or difficulties on exam day.

In the HSC section of the CAT 2026 form, candidates who followed the two-year post-10th school structure must select '12th/Equivalent'. Candidates who completed a diploma must choose the 'Diploma' option. The aggregate percentage calculation must include all subjects appearing on the mark sheet, rounded to two decimal places.

Candidates who completed Class 10, Class 12, Diploma, or Bachelor's degrees in 2020 or 2021 and were promoted without receiving marks can select the "Promotion/Pass without Marks" checkbox. This option allows eligible candidates to proceed with the CAT 2026 application form without entering percentage scores for those years.

Candidates uploading documents for CAT 2026 must ensure the passport photo measures 1200 x 1200 pixels and the signature measures 80mm x 35mm. Both files must be in .jpg or .jpeg format, with file sizes not exceeding 80KB each and a minimum resolution of 150 pixels per inch.

Applicants must provide an emergency mobile number while filling out the personal details section of the CAT 2026 application form. This emergency number must be different from the primary mobile number. Authorities recommend using a number belonging to a close relative or acquaintance who can be reached during emergencies.

The CAT 2026 application form is divided into six distinct sections: Personal Details, Academics, Work Experience, Programmes, Test City, and Declaration. Candidates must navigate through these sections sequentially and click "Save & Next" at the bottom of each tab to store their entered details before moving forward.

Registered candidates for CAT 2026 exam who forget their User ID or password can retrieve them using the 'Forgot User ID/Password' button on the CAT 2026 login window. After entering the registered email ID and the CAPTCHA string, the system sends the User ID and password directly to the candidate's registered email address.

Candidates completing CAT registration will receive an email confirmation with their login credentials within minutes of submitting the CAT 2026 registration profile. The email carries the subject line "Registration Successful for CAT 2026". Domestic candidates also receive an SMS containing their login credentials from the sender IIMCAT.

Candidates filling the CAT application form must select the 'I Agree' checkbox in the declaration section before submitting the CAT 2026 registration form. By checking this box, candidates confirm that all details provided are correct and true. Providing incorrect information can lead to the cancellation of the candidate's right to appear for the exam or seek admission.

Domestic candidates must enter a valid 10-digit mobile number during CAT 2026 registration. Candidates registering from outside India must prefix their mobile numbers with the respective country code. The system does not allow special characters like plus signs, hyphens, or zeroes in the country code prefix field.

CAT registration 2026 is available until September 15. Candidates will be allowed to fill the online application form until the last date.

Candidates filling CAT application form 2026 must add the following academic details:

• Other professional degree details

Candidates must enter their name during CAT 2026 profile registration exactly as it appears on their 10th or SSC certificate. Critical personal details including name, date of birth, mobile number, and email address, cannot be modified after the initial registration profile is confirmed and submitted on the online portal.

Applicants must upload scanned passport-size photographs that are not older than six months and feature a white background. Candidates must retain printed copies of this exact same photograph. The uploaded photo must be affixed to the physical admit card on the examination day, scheduled for November 29, 2026.

Candidates do not need to finish the CAT 2026 application form in a single sitting. The portal allows applicants to save their current session and log in later to continue. This process can be repeated multiple times. However, no editing is allowed once the final payment is completed and the form is submitted.

Candidates who have not completed a Bachelor's degree can appear for CAT 2026 if they possess a valid professional degree such as CA, CS, or CMA. Applicants must have secured the required minimum aggregate percentage in their professional qualification.

If a university confirms it has no scheme to convert CGPA into marks, candidates applying for CAT 2026 must calculate by dividing their CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying by 100. Applicants must present the original equivalence certificate during interviews if shortlisted by participating institutes.

Candidates registering for CAT 2026 must complete fee payments online through the BillDesk gateway. Payment modes include Credit Card, Debit Card, NetBanking, UPI, and Wallet facilities. The examination fee is non-refundable under any circumstances once the transaction is finalised.

CAT 2026 Candidate Login

IIM Indore has released CAT 2026 registration link on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. Candidates can now proceed for new registration on the exam website

The registration fee for CAT 2026 is INR 1,350 for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories. All other candidates must pay INR 2,700. Candidates need to pay the fee only once regardless of how many IIM programmes or institutes they select.

The CAT Candidate Helpdesk is reachable by phone at toll-free number 1-800-210-0175. Operating hours are Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The helpline remains closed on Sundays and national public holidays. Candidates should keep their User ID handy.

Following work experiences are not eligible to be filled in CAT exam form:

• Part-time employment
• Internships
• Project work
• Articleship (such as CA articleship)
• Pre-graduation jobs

While filling the CAT application form, candidates need to select the degree status (Completed or Final Year). Provide the university type, state, course duration, stream, and aggregate marks up to the latest mark sheet. If CGPA is awarded without a university conversion formula, calculate the percentage by dividing secured CGPA by maximum CGPA and multiplying by 100.

Candidates filling the application form of CAT 2026 exam need to select either "12th/Equivalent" or "Diploma". Specify the stream, board or university, completion date, and aggregate percentage obtained across all subjects.

Candidates filling CAT application form need to enter the board name, month and year of completion, total maximum marks, obtained marks, and aggregate percentage across all subjects listed on the mark sheet.

Candidates must print and retain physical copies of the exact photo uploaded, as it must be pasted onto the printed admit card on test day.

Candidates adding work experience details while filling CAT 2026 application form must have their total work experience computed in days up to July 31, 2026.
