IIM Indore completed placements for its largest outgoing batch consisting of 578 students. The batch consisted people from two programmes - the post graduate programme (PGP) 2018-20 and the 5 year integrated programme in management (IPM) batch.
Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIMI) has finished final placements with an average salary of Rs 22.92 lakh. The placement witnessed a 23.5 per cent jump in the highest domestic package to Rs 50 lakh. The average salary for the batch stood at Rs 22 lakh. Among the many roles that were offered, consulting, sales & marketing and finance were the most sought after sectors. In this year’s batch, candidates got two global offers this year. Over 160 recruiters took part in the IIM Indore Placements 2019-20 including Flipkart, GE, GMR Group, Goldman Sachs, Google, ICICI, ITC, JP Morgan, Maruti Suzuki, PepsiCo, Philips, PwC India, Tech Mahindra, Vodafone, Xiaomi, Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, American Express, Axis Bank, Bain Capability Centre, Bajaj Auto, Boston Consulting Group, ByteDance, Credit Suisse, CRISIL, D E Shaw, and Zinnov. Over 45 recruiters including Flipkart, Intermiles, Kohler, Payoneer, AB InBev, Appdynamics, Cloudtail, FIITJEE, and Thomson Reuters recruited from the campus for the first time for various roles.
In terms of offers by sector, finance headed the pack with 23.3 per cent of offers, followed closely by sales and marketing with 23 per cent and consulting with 21.5 per cent. IT accounted for 20.3 per cent of the offers and operations and others for 11.8 per cent.
IIM Indore witnesses 23 per cent jump in domestic salary package in this year’s placement
IIM Indore recorded a 23 per cent rise in the highest domestic salary package offered to a student during the placements of post graduate Programme and 5- year Integrated Programme in Management. The domestic package surged from Rs 40.50 lakh per annum (LPA) to Rs 50 LPA as batch of 578 students secured 100 per cent placements.
