IIM Shillong inaugurated its 13th PGP batch virtually along with 9th doctoral program batch and newly introduced MBA for working executive batch.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong welcomed its 13th Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) batch, the 9th doctoral program batch and its newly introduced MBA for the working executive’s batch. The event was conducted online in the august presence of Praveen Kumar, Co-CEO, Barclays Global Service Centre, India.

During the event, he spoke about how important it is to be ahead in the game when is the world is advancing every day. He also talked about the need to meet up the technological advancements. He also spoke at length on emerging and new business models that provide a good learning platform for the new management education aspirants and scholars.

During the inauguration ceremony, D P Goyal, Director, IIM Shillong, told participants how important it is to make the best use of these coming years and what is ahead for them. He encouraged the participants’ to make the most out of these two years. He also apprised of the immense learning opportunities that await the students in the time to come.

“Strong individual capability and feeling of togetherness is what makes IIM Shillong a family,” he said.

In his presidential address, the chairman of the Board of Governors, IIM Shillong, spoke at length about the need to have an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, and to develop the ability to make the best opportunity despite the adversity.

This year, 247 students have enrolled for the PGP program, while 6 joined the doctoral program and 20 enrolled for the MBA (working executive) program of IIM Shillong, Guwahati Centre.
