The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam has released the Assam NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 dates. The registration process will commence on August 27, 2025, and the last date of registration is August 29, 2025. The entire round will conclude on September 10, 2025.

The Assam NEET 2025 Counselling Round 1 was conducted from July 24, 2025, to August 23, 2025. As many as 3,122 candidates were included in the seat allotment result, which was declared on August 18, 2025.  As many as 19,809 candidates have been included in the merit list for Assam NEET counselling 2025, which was released on July 15, 2025.

DME Assam has stated, โ€œCandidates who have already registered and participated in Round 1 state counselling need not register again and shall be able to take part in the Online choice filling of 2nd Round of Counselling for fresh allotment or change of College.โ€

Only those candidates who have not been allotted seats in Round 1 of Assam NEET 2025 Counselling or any other state counselling or NEET 2025 All India Quota Counselling will be eligible to participate in the Assam NEET Counselling 2025 Round 2.

Q: ย  What is the minimum rank required to get an MBBS seat through Assam NEET counselling?
A:

A General category student must secure an AIR rank of 55,000 or above to get an MBBS seat in a good college. Candidates must note that this is a predictive cutoff rank and not an absolute data. The actual cutoff data or rank will be relesed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) after the conclusion of the counselling process for Assam NEET.

A:

The Assam NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2 commenced on August 27, 2025, with the registration process. The second round will conclude on September 27, 2025. The Assam NEET 2025 counselling process began on July 24, 2025, a few days after the commencement of the counselling for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam announces the schedule for the Assam NEET UG counselling 2025 for each round separately. The Assam NEET 2025 Counselling Round 1 seat allotment result date was postponed from August 6 to August 18, 2025, on account of the extension of the All India NEET 2025 counselling by MCC. The number of rounds may be extended based on the seat vacancies.

A:

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam will release the seat matrix for Assam NEET counselling 2025 before each round. In the original seat matrix, which was released before Round 1, the total number of seats available for admission was displayed. In the later rounds, the seat matrix will indicate the number of vacant seats for that particular round. The seat matrix will help candidates in the choice filling process.
