AYUSH Minister to inaugurate BUMS course at Unani medical college, J&K
Union Minister of Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate the BUMS course at Government Unani Medical College & Hospital at Ganderbal district, J&K tomorrow.
Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate the BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) course at Government Unani Medical College & Hospital at Nawab Bagh of Ganderbal district, J&K tomorrow.
The college's annual intake capacity is 60 BUMS students and it is a 60 bedded hospital. The 7 clinical departments in the college include Jarahat (Surgery), Moalijat (Medicine), Ain-Uzn-Anf-Halq (Ophthalmology &ENT), Ilmul Atfal (Paediatrics), Ilm-ul-Qabalatwa Niswan (Obstetrics & Gynecology), Amraz-Jild (Dermatology) and Ilaj bit Tadbeer (Regimental Therapy).
The Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) is all geared up to welcome its first-ever government Unani Medical College & Hospital at Nawab Bagh of Ganderbal district. In his first visit to J&K after taking the charge of the Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways Ministry, the Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate the BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) course in this Government Unani Medical College & Hospital on 17 September 2021.
The college's hospital is expected to provide services to nearly 136 villages comprising around three lakh of population. It will also provide services to people living in the adjoining districts of Bandipora, Baramulla, and Srinagar.
